Dr. Carrie Leff is a board certified Pediatrician and Internist and Certified Menopause Provider who practices primary care for women and girls through The Henry Ford Health System in Southeastern Michigan. Dr. Leff is passionate about all aspects of women’s health, with a special interest in puberty and adolescent medicine, treatment of eating disorders, mental health issues, menopause and sexual health.
In 2015, Dr. Leff co-founded Turning Teen (www.turningteen.com), a company which provides educational workshops about puberty for parents, children and schools. The goal of the programs are to transition adolescents through puberty without shame or embarrassment. She has a passion for educating parents and children making her a sought after speaker in the adolescent and puberty space. She believes in empowering parents with the language and knowledge on how to tackle important and difficult conversations with their children.
Dr. Leff is the co-author of the book, “Celebrate your Body 2: The Ultimate Puberty Book for Preteen and Teen Girls,” , a body-positive guide to puberty for girls ages 10 and older. The book was banned in Florida in April, 2022 and she published an opinion piece in the Washington post entitled “Our book on puberty has been banned. This only puts kids at risk.”
